Jin is passionate about ancient Chinese medical texts. These CEU courses for licensed practitioners stay with the sources themselves - the Huangdi Neijing, Nanjing, Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing, Zhongzang Jing, and related classics - rather than how to treat disease. Many of you are already excellent practitioners; the work here is to read the texts carefully and discuss their essence.
This course is designed for licensed acupuncturists only. It explores Chapter One, “Discourse on the True Nature of Antiquity”, from the classical Chinese medical text Huangdi Neijing. It offers a word-for-word interpretation of the original ancient script, providing direct translation and commentary to preserve its classical meaning. The course also incorporates perspectives from well-known Traditional Chinese Medicine physicians and classical commentators to deepen understanding and present multiple interpretive viewpoints. Through structured discussion, participants will study foundational concepts of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, including Jing, Qi, and Shen, seasonal living, longevity, emotional balance, and the preservation of health according to classical Chinese medical theory.
